Stéphane Kleeb
(1955) grew up in Basel. After a vocational business school he trained as an advertising assistant in Biel (SAWI).

Afterwards he studied from 1976 to 1978 at the London International Film School LIFS in London and wrote his diploma work about "The Young German Cinema". He then worked as camera assistant and assistant director on several Swiss, German and French feature films.

1988 he visited the Flemish European Media Institute, FEMI under the leadership of Frank Daniels.

In 1995 he was invited for a cultural exchange programme between Russia and Switzerland by the Christoph Merian Foundation. He spent nine months in Moscow, the Ural and in Siberia for still photography. He made portraits under the title "People and Encounters".

Since 1979 he has been working as a film director and camera operator and from 1984 onwards he has been frequently filming for Swiss Television as a freelance cameraman.

He speaks the following languages: German/French (Bilingual) English, Norwegian (Bokmål), Russian
